What is Big Man on Campus?
Big Man on Campus is Delta Zeta’s annual male pageant! It is one of the philanthropy events that Delta Zeta hosts throughout the school year. All of the proceeds from Big Man on Campus go to Delta Zeta’s philanthropy partner, the Starkey Hearing Foundation. The Starkey Hearing Foundation provides the gift of hearing through giving hearing aids to those in need throughout the entire world.
The pageant features an opening number, a talent, formal wear, and a question portion. At the end of the pageant, the judges vote on who they feel is the most well-rounded Big Man on Campus.
Meet Renaldo Lopez-White, one of the contestants for Big Man on Campus!
Renaldo is a junior, Exercise Science major with a minor in Health from Charleston, SC. His hobbies include weightlifting and spending time with his lovely girlfriend, Anna (pictured above). When asked why he decided to participate in Big Man on Camps, Renaldo replied, “I love a challenge and I’m low-key one of the biggest men on campus, so why not?”
Come and support Renaldo, along with the other contestants for a fun night at Big Man on Campus! Tickets are $3 in advance and can be bought from any sister of Delta Zeta. There will be a tabling event this Thursday from 10-2 on Campus Green where you can buy a ticket and participate in “Build a Beard”. Tickets at the door are $5, and a ticket & t-shirt are $15.
