Six Things to Do in Waterloo During Your Study Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wilfrid Laurier chapter.

When you need to take a minute or two between exams or study sessions, I’ve got a few things you can enjoy in our lovely little ‘loo!

1. Enjoy the Specials at Symposium Café

Walk on over to Uptown and enjoy the daily specials at Symposium, particularly their 2 for 1 cake slices on Sundays!

2. Catch a Flick at the Princess Cinemas

Check out a movie at the Princess, where they show some obscure and uncommon movies! Right now, they have the Death of Stalin and Journeys End playing!

3. Take a walk in Waterloo Park

I know the snow came back and no one is too happy about it, but the park is still a nice place to get some fresh air. Grab a cup o’ joe and take a stroll on the docks!

4. Grab some coffee

Speaking of a cup o’ joe, stop by some of Waterloo coffee shops for a great latte or an espresso and just enjoy the vibes. Some of our spots are very insta worthy!

5. Have a girls’ night with Becky!

Release some stress with a night of drinks and dancing! Take your girls out to Becky’s Apartment and party like you don’t have that final!

6.  Check out the Farmer’s Market

When you’ve got a Saturday free, take the morning and take a trip  over to St. Jacobs Market. They’ve got some delicious foods and lots of fun finds! A great morning trip with your pals!
