Although the sunny weather may be upon us, the lingering effects from winter are difficult to ignore. Our skin is brutally dry, our complexions feel lifeless, and our tans from spring break are long gone. Collegiettes, the key to spring skin is a glowing complexion and Her Campus is here to recommend all the best products to achieve this look. Our all-time favourite products for healthy, dewy skin are highlighters and illuminators. Highlighters are super shimmery products that help accentuate the high points of the face such as the tops of the cheekbones, brow bone, and bridge of the nose. However, illuminator is a great option to add an overall brightness to the entire complexion by mixing a couple drops with foundation or facial moisturizer. There is definitely a fine line between appearing like a disco ball and achieving a subtle radiance, so Her Campus is here to recommend the most loved products for glowing skin this season.

HIGHLIGHTERS

1. Benefit Watts Up Highlighter: This product is a cream consistency and comes in stick form. It’s a golden shimmery highlight that complements olive complexions beautifully.

2. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector: Becca highlighters add the perfect amount of shimmer to create a radiant glow and come in a variety of shades to match every skin tone. The shade Opal is a golden, pearly colour that matches well with tanner complexions whereas Moonstone is a light, pale gold shade that would complement paler skin tones flawlessly.

3. Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle: This product is an oldie but a goodie, and never fails to impress. It’s a powder highlight that works all skin tones by providing a subtle radiance without looking overly glittery.

ILLUMINATORS

1. Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Aqua Foundation Illuminator: A few drops of this water-based product mixed with foundation or moisturizer adds an all-over luminosity unlike any other. Since such a tiny amount is required per use, the high-end price tag is totally worth the splurge.

2. Sephora Radiant Luminizing Drops in Morning Light: This product is more concentrated than the previous option and again only requires a few tiny drops to achieve glossy, golden skin.

3. Revlon Skin Lights Face Illuminator in Bare Light: This is a great drugstore alternative and provides a much more modest glow for half the price of the high-end options.

There you have it, collegiettes, the absolute best products to let your skin sparkle in the sun this spring! Xo
