There is no shortage of places to grab food in Waterloo. From cheaper to pricier or fancier, you can find meals in any price range. Living in Waterloo for five years now, I have narrowed down my favourite list of restaurants in the city. In no particular order, and with a variety of cuisines, here are my top favourite restaurants:
1. Famoso
Famoso has great italian food! From pizza to pasta, amazing appetizers and a phenomenal drink menu, it is located in Uptown and their menu ranges in price, so you are sure to find something within your budget.
2. Beertown
Beertown is definitely one of the more expensive restaurants in this list, but their food is amazing and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I must warn everyone about the Pad Thai though, it is SUPER spicy!
3. Spring Rolls
Spring Rolls is a Thai Asian food restaurant. It is very affordable, and it is located just outside of Conestoga Mall. I personally love it so much! They also have a location inside of Conestoga Mall for your on-the-go needs.
4. The Works
The concept at The Works is pretty cool and there are lots of different burger options to choose from. If you go there you HAVE to have one of their milkshakes as they are delicious!
5. Morty’s Pub
Best place in town for pub food as their fries and wings are fantastic! Located near King and University, it is easily accessible and the prices are reasonable. They have good vibes, play all the sports, and fill up quick. So if you are going to Morty’s, reserve a table or get there before the dinner rush – especially on game nights.
