We all know the feeling of excitement. The event you’ve been looking forward to for months has suddenly crept up, and before you know it Thanksgiving is only a week away. While you’ve been trying to make the extra effort to take seconds, eat dessert, and skip out on your workouts, , you still haven’t quite mastered your ideal thanksgiving bod. And the looming thought of sitting around the dinner table in your stretchy pants is definitely not helping your morale. You need a lifestyle change, and you need it quick. Lucky for you, I’m here to share my 5 pro-tips on how to achieve the perfect Thanksgiving body in under a week, right here on the WashU campus.

1. Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks

The conveniently-located Starbucks in Bauer Hall is not only good for people watching. You can get into that Thanksgiving mood AND effortlessly attain that perfect Thanksgiving look by switching out your non-fat latte for a PSL.

2. Fall-themed desserts

Lucky for those of us trying to chub up for the holidays, the food industry is on our side. Between Halloween candy, candy apples, and pumpkin everything, there is definitely no shortage of fall-themed treats out there to help us on our journey.

3. Stress eating

I’m not sure whether it was the registrar office or just fate, but midterm season this year (aka the third week of school until finals) miraculously coincides with pumpkin spice season. Not only will this help you get educated so you can show off your smarts at Thanksgiving, but stress eating gives you a leg up on your #bodgoals as well.

4. Half & Halfs

We are especially blessed here at WashU with a plethora of late night dining options for the end of a night out. Between indulging in late-night half and halfs, mozz sticks, and pretty much anything that is served in BD past 10pm, you’ll see results in your quest for that perfect Thanksgiving body in no time!

While it may seem like time is against you, don’t give up yet! If you follow these tips word for word, you’ll be rockin’ a perfect Thanksgiving bod in no time.
