6 Packing Essentials for Thanksgiving Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wash U chapter.
With the stress of finals already starting to weigh us down, there is no need to stress over Thanksgiving packing!  Packing for Thanksgiving always feels overwhelming but a short five days at home only requires a light carry on. Whether you’re spending the week with family or friends, just a few key items can spruce up the limited clothes we’ve left behind in our empty home closets.

1. A Cozy Sweater
Thanksgiving break is all about R&R, so wear your comfiest sweater on the plane that you can also wear when lounging around the house.

2. Your favorite pair of jeans
Dress them up for Thanksgiving dinner with the family or dress them down for movie marathons with friends.

3. Your cutest going-out top
Show off your newest, favorite top to old friends! Think flowy and simple.

4. Warm Jacket
Let’s face it: unless you’re from Florida, it’s gonna get chilly.

5. Booties/ Moto Boots
Comfy enough to wear on the plane but stylish enough for going out with your high school friends.

6. Leggings
Easy to pack and go perfectly with all of the above.

Happy Thanksgiving!
