Top 5 Amazing YouTube Musicians You Shouldn’t Miss

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Waseda chapter.

YouTube is undoubtedly adored by worldwide users; besides watching funny, stress-relieving videos or BuzzFeed videos, how can I not mention MUSIC? There are simply too many talented YouTube musicians and it is extremely difficult to pick the best among them. Here, I would like to share five of my favorite YouTube music channels.

No.5: Nick Pitera

Nick started his YouTube channel 9 years ago and is most well-known for having an extensive vocal range and can sing unusually high female falsettos. He does many Disney covers and Nick’s most popular video is his cover of the Aladdin theme song “A Whole New World”, with himself singing both the male and female vocals.

No.4: Ciuffi Rossi

Alessio and Marco Bianchi are twins from Italy and they started their YouTube channel only 3 years ago. Even though their vocals are quite similar, their harmonical skills are absolutely on point. Alessio and Marco mainly cover pop songs and their most popular video is the cover of Adele’s 2015 hit “Hello”.

No.3: Sam Tsui (2.6M subscribers)

Sam started his YouTube channel 8 years ago and frequently collaborates with another amazing musician, Kurt Schneider, who also has his own YouTube channel. Not only does Sam do covers but he also sing medleys, mashups, and produces original songs. His most popular video is the mashup of Sam Smith’s “I’m Not The Only One” and “Thinking Out Loud”.

No.2: Pentatonix (11.7M subscribers)

Pentatonix is (simply) an amazing acapella group consisted of five singers and they started their YouTube channel 5 years ago. They have covered medleys, pop songs, seasonal songs, and original songs. Pentatonix has released several albums and won many music awards, including the Grammys. Their most popular video is the Daft Punk medley.

No.1: Jason Chen – MusicNeverSleeps (1.4M subscribers)

My personal favorite channel is MusicNeverSleeps. Jason comes from a Taiwanese background and currently lives in California. He started his YouTube channel 9 years ago and gained a sizable following. Jason’s most popular video is his original song “Best Friends”, which he released 5 years ago.

Feeling bored and stuck at the moment? Now go ahead and enjoy music from these five amazing YouTube music channels.
