Phi Mu Sponsors Charity Denim

At a school where trendy-meets-comfort, Wake girls love to sport jeans any day of the week and in any climate. It came to no surprise, then, the great turnout of girls at Phi Mu’s bi-annual fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network.

Offering popular designer brands at 45-65% off regular price, Charity Denim offered six hours of jean-lover heaven. A steady flow of Wake’s women continued throughout the benefit, with a few brave boys who “stumbled in.” With tables stacked high with denim ranging from high-waisted 24-inch wide-leg jeans to dark wash 32-waist skinny jeans, shoppers could expect to find something for any and every style.

Even though jeans are a “well-worth-it” guilty pleasure, all excuses disappear when proceeds go towards the Children’s Miracle Network and tags read at half price. Plus, Deacon Dollars are accepted, which Wake students often treat as fake money anyway. It is actually a bit of a dream come true!
The event only happens once a semester, so if you missed it this year start anticipating its return in October! Plan ahead, you could get some serious Christmas shopping done.
