Okay ladies let’s talk SPF. I know we have all heard our parents constantly reiterate, “wear sunscreen,” and “don’t lay out in the sun.” Honestly, they may be on to something. With the temperatures rising, and the days staying lighter for longer, it is important to put on sunscreen not only on those days when you go to the beach.

Sunscreen not only helps to prevent skin cancer but it also helps with premature aging and the darkening of acne scars. While I know sunscreen can be gross to continuously wear, I have found a few that are fantastic; they will not leave you feeling greasy and worried about breakouts.

1. COOLA

This sunscreen is by far the best one I have ever used. Not only is it all-organic, it smells fantastic and comes in a varieties of sprays, lotions and a range of SPF preferences.

2. Peter

Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 45, $30.00

This two-in one SPF cover-up is great for those days that you want a product that multi-tasks. This product allows you to effortlessly brush on as much cover-up as you need, and while it does say it is “transparent” this product does contain a decent amount of color to cover-up any problem areas. It also has SPF 45 to protect you from the sun.

3. Light Optimizing Primer

Light Optimizing Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 15, $35.00

This primer is one of my absolute favorites. Not only is it a great base that keeps your makeup luminous and on all day, it has SPF 15 in it. This level of sun protection is great for everyday usage to shield your skin against harmful rays when walking to and from class.
