Last week, we had 20 degree weather. Yesterday, we had 70 degree weather. Today, we have 50 degree weather. Over the past few days, I have commonly heard things around the Wake Forest Campus like, “I went outside in a parka and then saw a girl in flip flops,” or, “I’ve changed three times today,” and my ultimate favorite, “What the heck is NC weather?!”

During the awkward phase where winter rapidly turns to spring, there are some slight altercations we collegiettes can take to comfortably make it through the whole day in just one outfit. Today, we turn to one of our favorite Pretty Little Liars, Shay Mitchell, as she gives the perfect example of an outfit that is not-too-hot but not-too-cold.

Shay Mitchell can inspire you even more if you follow her on Snapchat (officialshaym). You can see what she’s wearing in weather all around the globe as I’ve found that she is often somewhere tropical one day and somewhere bitterly cold the next. You’ll have to do your own chic for cheap hunting though, since it would be nearly impossible to keep up with this fashionista every day. Shay’s strategy for these lovely looks is to add color with a simple cardigan that will keep you warm and allow you to take off as the afternoon heat hits. Her black velvet dress is very a la mode, and the over-the-knee boots are quite the trend across campus. Mix and match your colors, or add your own unique twists to this one, collegiettes.
