Hope’s or Insomnia: Battle of the Cookie

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Villanova chapter.

We’ve all been there. It’s after dinner and you need something a little extra. Something chocolatey, gooey, warm and delicious. Your sweet tooth is calling your name and you must indulge in something sugary. Maybe it’s ice cream or brownies or a cupcake. But if we’re talking cookies where do you get your sweet treat? Hope’s Cookies or Insomnia Cookies?!

Location: While both Hope’s and Insomnia are right down the street from school and within easy walking distance, the trouble comes when you go home for break and are still craving something sweet. Insomnia is available in about 80 locations throughout the country, mostly in the northeast and Midwest regions. So if you’re one of the lucky ones, Insomnia can be enjoyed at home and at school. On the other hand, Hope’s cookies are only available at the location in Rosemont and in Reading Terminal Market. So, make sure to stock up on these for breaks because you can’t get them at home!

Hours: Hope’s is open Monday-Thursday from 8am-10pm, Friday/Saturday from 8am-11pm and Sunday from 10am-10pm. If you’re a morning treat craver, Hope’s is probably the move for you. Meanwhile Insomnia is open from 11am-3am and delivery hours are from 12pm-3am. So if you’re a night owl, Insomnia is the way to go.

Flavors: Insomnia cookies have the same 12 varieties of cookies at each location. They include Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, White Chocolate Macadamia, S’mores, and more! Hope’s has over 20 varieties of cookies including Triple Chocolate, Snickerdoodle, and Lemon Cooler. Additionally, Hope’s offers gluten free cookies as well. Both Insomnia and Hope’s offer ice cream, too! Both places have a nice selection of flavors to satisfy any time of cookie lover.

While both Insomnia Cookies and Hope’s Cookies have their strengths, at the end of the day both stores have cookies and you can never go wrong when it comes to that. Now that you have a little more info about the cookie places surrounding you, go try them both and see which cookie wins the battle for your sweet tooth!
