12 Enjoyable Things To Do In Philadelphia This Spring

Spring can be a stressful time for college students, but it doesn’t have to be! Take final exams, future roommate selection anxiety, and summer job stress off your mind by venturing into Philadelphia, listed as the 3rd place in the world to visit in 2015 by the New York Times!

1. Have dinner at the Reading Terminal Market and get an appetizer, entree, and dessert from three different places to try it’s amazing variety of food. 

2. Take a horse carriage ride through Old City with your significant other or a best friend

3. Run the Philadelphia Love Half Marathon or the Blue Cross Broad Street Run

4. Have a picnic in Rittenhouse Square 

5. Go shopping on Walnut Street

6. Go to a Phillies game on dollar dog night (April 9th) 

7. Bike (or run!) to brunch along the Conshohocken Trail into Manayunk or Philadelphia. Take the train back if your legs are tired- bikes ride free!

8. Go kayaking or canoeing on the Schuylkill River

9. Go out to dinner to a Steve Starr restuarant with a group of friends

10. Visit the Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival & Restaurant Week (April 13th-April 24th)

11. Soak up history by attending the Penn Relays- the world’s oldest relay meet, held annually at the University of Pennsylvania (April 23rd-25th)

12. Get splattered with paint while running the Color Run- the happiest 5k on the planet! (April 25th)
