Then and Now: AKL Fraternity House

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at VCU chapter.

One of the most interesting things about the VCU campus are the residences and purposes they have served and the people that have inhabited them over the years. Generation after generation of VCU students have occupied the same blocks of Oregon Hill, the Fan, and the Museum District.

Pictured below are members of the Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity (Beta Nu chapter) in front of their former house at 1115 W. Main street in the 1980’s.

Here is what the house looks like today

Pretty cool, huh?

Stephanie Granata is a sophomore at VCU pursuing a degree in advertisement. She is a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha - Lambda Eta chapter at VCU. Stephanie's main hobbies include photography, writing, and binge-watching Netflix. She loves to travel and (almost) never misses leg day. She thinks long walks on the beach are overrated so just follow her on Instagram (granatase) and Twitter (segranataa).
Keziah is a writer for Her Campus. She is majoring in Fashion Design with a minor in Fashion Merchandising. HCXO!
