Dear mom and dad,

Thank you for all the times you told me it was going to be okay. Thank you for pushing me towards my goals. Thank you for grounding me when I didn’t finish my work. Thank you for teaching me how to budget. Thank you for making me do my own laundry. Thank you for teaching me it is okay to ask for help when you need it. Most of all, thank you for teaching me to be independent.

I’m not going to lie and say that these past couple of months have been easy. However, with your visits it has made it a lot easier to get through. Even though you might find it silly mom, I love getting to look back on your visits and look through the silly photos dad and I took in the pet aisle. Or remembering that it’s never a good idea to walk through the Halloween costume aisle with Dad because he will start trying stuff on.

Just remember that no matter the struggles I face here on my own that I will always be your daughter. It will always be both of you that I ask for help from the most or the ones that I need hugs and reassurance that everything will be okay. Although I am growing up I will always be your little girl. However, most important of all is that I will always love you all and nothing can change that in the end.

Thank you for always loving me for who I am and always welcoming me with open arms. I miss you all so much and cannot wait to see you all soon.

With all my love,

Your daughter forever and always
