5 Dorm-Friendly Holiday Recipes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at VCU chapter.

‘Tis the season for students to stress! With finals quickly approaching and holiday parties aplenty, it seems like everyone might be in need of some quick and easy recipes. Whether it’s a pick-me-up snack for yourself or a treat for that secret snowflake gift exchange, HCVCU has recipes that require minimal prep and the push of a button to cook. Also, residence hall Rams fear not; all the recipes listed below are cooked in microwaves so, no oven or stove is required. Here’s what my Pinterest search unearthed:

3. Perfect Potatoes

Although cooking a baked potato in a microwave kind of diminishes the “baked” part, that doesn’t make it any less delicious. Opt for this more sophisticated option next time you’re studying instead of loading up on fries or chips . Add some salsa and chives to it and you’ll have a holiday theme.
