Winter break is great because there’s no pressure to do homework, your syllabi for next semester aren’t even posted yet, and there’s so much time to relax. I used this time to catch up on some of my favorite passtimes that I don’t always get to at school, like going to movies. I checked out Office Christmas Party, which features a great ensemble cast, including a bunch of SNL alums and Jennifer Anniston.
The movie is set in Chicago, my hometown, which was a fun surprise. I thought it was just going to be something like The Office Christmas episodes, which, while funny, wouldn’t translate well into a full length movie. I was totally wrong. The staff of Zenotek decide to throw a massive Christmas party to impress a potential client who doesn’t belive in the company’s culture. It’s literally a full on rager. I wish I worked at Zenotek, and this movie made me miss darties and tailgates at school.
The movie is super funny and has some good action scenes. One friend saw it with her parents, which she said was a mistake, but otherwise liked it. I liked Office Christmas Party and would definitely recommend it!
