Put in a request (or several!) by Friday 12/2 for a care package to be delivered by EmbrACE to your friend’s dorm room with candy, hot chocolate, and an encouraging note from you the week before finals!
The purpose of EmbrACE is to give female undergraduate students at Vanderbilt University the opportunity to regularly mentor middle school girls in the Nashville area on age- and gender-related issues. The topics for lesson plans relate to: maintaining a positive self-image, building healthy relationships, setting goals and working towards accomplishing them, and making a meaningful impact on one’s community.
We’re suggesting a donation of $3 to go towards our on-campus event on December 7th from 5-6PM in Commons MPR where VIBE will be teaching a dance routine to us and the middle school girls we mentor. There will be food and drinks, and anyone who is compliant with the Protection of Minors module is welcome to join us in de-stressing before exams (: Good luck on finals!
