Cheers to the Freaking Weekend-er Bags

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Vanderbilt chapter.
As mentioned in a previous article, Spring Break is well on its way to relieve us from the icy winter prison that is currently Nashville.  While we plan out our outfits so that we can look amazing during the break, we can’t forget to make sure that we also look stylish during our travels.  Since Spring Break is unfortunately only a week long, the perfect piece of luggage to carry all of your essentials is the weekender bag.  Below are a few of my favorite picks that are guaranteed to leave onlookers envious!

This vintage bag from Modcloth is perfect for the fashionable traveler who has a love for all things past. The two-toned exterior of the bag helps to keep this bag rustic and elegant, while the skeleton key closure gives it charm and pizazz.

Not a fan of flash?  H&M’s option may be simple, but it certainly isn’t lacking in style.  The all black color gives this bag a classic, timeless appeal.  You can’t go wrong with this choice!

Finding a bag that’s both durable and cute is no easy feat, so look no further than this bold bag from Herschel.  Well-known for their backpacks, it comes as no surprise that one of their bags would make the list.  I especially love the bold color blocking and the fact that it has so many features, including a laundry bag.  Bonus: this bag is currently on sale, so it’s definitely a steal!

For some of us, price ain’t nothing but a number (get it?), but for others, sticking to a budget is a necessity.  If you’re interested in a bag that is both cute and functional, but won’t break the bank, check out this trunk-tastic bag from Tilly’s.  Adorable animal prints are totally on trend, and the black/white color combo really catches the eye. Don’t like elephants? No worries, as this bag comes in a variety of patterns and prints.
