In today’s society, it is becoming more and more common place for women to be discriminated against. As ladies, we need to let men know what we will and will not accept. You don’t have to go crazy with a shocking political statement.

…and the understanding that being a woman does not, by any means, exclude you from fair treatment will go a long way. Due to the patriarchic nature of our society, women are often discouraged not to speak up. When a woman does decide to speak, she is presumed as “bossy” or “stuck-up”. Men have made a mockery of women’s rights and feminism, and some have coined women’s rights activists as “femi-nazis”.
This is a serious issue at hand, yet it is being downplayed by men telling us to “stop crying”, that we’re “over-reacting” and the worst by far is the question of if we’re “on our periods”.
Feminism is important because women are forgetting that we’re powerful forces to be reckoned with. Deflect every belittling comment and condescending joke with success and personal growth.
Support the women around you, because after all, we’re all in this together. The power of the V brings us together, and if we all work together, we can accopmlish great things on the road to equality.
