Dating apps are a fantastic example of how times have changed. The younger generations are adapting to anew social culture of finding friends, with or without the notorious benefits, on matchmaking sites! There’s Tinder, BlackPeopleMeet.com, Grindr, etc! However, a new one has caught the attention of many and has no intentions of being just any other dating app.

MuzMatch, founded by Shahzad Younas, is a new dating app specifically for Muslim young adults and teens. With times changing so much and the advancement and success of dating apps, he decided to make the traditional value of finding a Muslim partner a bit more accessible to our generation! The intention for the app is to keep traditional values, but on a wider scale instead of attending “awkward family dinners”. They even as far to keep supervision over the messages between two interested parties to make sure it’s all done in a decent manner.

There are a few rules here and there that make this app stand out from the rest. In an interview with Younas he says, ” If someone is being dirty or obscene and clearly not after anything serious, we just boot them off.” and “We want to be a progressive and positive voice within the Muslim faith.”  The app seems to be taking off and surely is a great idea! #ItsAMatch!
