This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Valdosta chapter.

Not everyone is going off on a fun exotic trip for spring break. Let’s be honest, some of us just want to go home relax and eat a little bit before finals come around and stress us out. Besides catching up on some much needed sleep, a great way to pass the time and relax during the break is by enjoying a few shows that you haven’t gotten a chance to watch because of school. Here are some of the shows that we all need to binge watch over spring break.

1. The Walking Dead

Since season one The Walking Dead has kicked it into high gear. It is the perfect apocalyptic thriller to watch during the break. The Walking Dead is currently reaching the end of Season 5, so you’ll have plenty of episodes to watch. Seasons 1-4 of TWD can be found on Netflix. All season 5 episodes will be aired Sunday March 29th before the season finale at 9pm. This show will definitely keep you wanting more and you will happily binge watch!

2. Misfits

Misfits is a British show about juvenile delinquents that possess an array of superpowers. The grittiness and intensity of the show will have you hooked from the beginning to until the end. The characters are so honest and real you will fall in love with each of them. The show has a total of five seasons, but this science fiction comedy is worth every second. All five seasons can be seen on Hulu.

3. Once Upon A Time

Once Upon A Time is a fun, mature twist on all of the fairy tales we grew up with as kids. This show takes a unique look at the heroes we love and the villains we love to hate. OUAT is currently on its fourth season. Seasons 1-3 can be found on Netflix. Episodes from the current season can be found on Hulu Plus or ABC’s website.

4. Orange Is The New Black

This Netflix original is a funny view on the female prison system, and the interesting people within the system. The characters on this show are funny, quirky, mature, and simply perfection. The storyline is written in such a way that will keep your attention every second. OITNB only has two seasons, but it has captured the attention and hearts of many viewers. Both seasons are currently streaming on Netflix.

5. How to Get Away With Murder

How to Get Away With Murder had its season finale a couple a weeks ago, but it is not too late to catch up on all of the crazy plot twist. This show is a murder mystery that keeps you on your toes until the very last minute. How To Get Away With Murder only has one season and the show is currently available on Hulu Plus and ABC’s website.

BONUS. Empire

Empire is also a new show approaching its finale. Much like HTGAWM this show has kept the audience on the hook since its premiere. If you don’t watch this show for the crazy storyline at least watch the show for its amazing music! It is time to catch up with this newcomer. Empire had its season finale this Wednesday March 18th on FOX. Past episodes of the show are streaming on the station’s website.

Between all of these options you are sure to find a new TV favorite. So relax, sit back, catch up, and enjoy all of the television juiciness! Hopefully these shows helps you binge watch your way through spring break!
