4 Ways To Come Back From Spring Break With A Bang

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Valdosta chapter.

Now that Spring Break is over, we have to rush right back into the swing of things. As collegiate females it’s important we know how to balance our time between work and play. Well ladies, I’m sad to say that play time is officially over! We are reaching the final weeks of the semester and not only do we have to prepare ourselves for those dreaded final exams but we also have to work towards making these final grades some of our best ones. Here are some tips on how to come back from Spring Break and make the remaining time in this semester the best it can be!

1. Keep yourself updated

Whether you were at home relaxing or on the beach partying during spring break, it isn’t hard to lose track of all those upcoming dates ahead for the semester. My first tip is to take some time out with you, yourself and your planner (iPhone, memo pad, calendar, etc) and write down all of the due dates for these remaining weeks. Also, plan ahead for what days you need to study for tests and be sure to write down your final exam schedule! This may seem like a lot to write down at first, but it will save you a lot of headaches when you know exactly what needs to be done.

2. Don’t procrastinate

We all know that feeling you get when the semester is nearly finished. That “I’ll turn it in later, I’m almost done with the class, anyways.” Please don’t fall into procrastination mode ladies! No matter how great your grade may be in the class, your final assignments can either hurt you or help you. Having them done in a timely fashion will have you feeling confident and excited when those final grades are posted.

3. Finals Week doesn’t have to be a pain

I haven’t met not one person since coming to college that has looked forward to finals week, and if you’re anything like me, it is one of the scariest things in the world. Pulling all nighters in the library and cramming the day of your test isn’t always a bad thing, but starting to look at your study guides a couple weeks before finals is ALWAYS a good thing.

4. Relax, you got this

DON’T FREAK OUT, you got this. After all, you were accepted into college for a reason right? You’re smart, so stay calm and collected. Regardless of how bad it may seem, nothing can’t be fixed with a few emails to your professor and A LOT of hard work (ok sometimes it can’t be fixed but still try your hardest). If you want that grade, go get it! Just don’t stress yourself out and understand that things will work out just the way they’re supposed to.
