As a college student and makeup lover, I know how hard it can be to keep up with all of the latest trends in makeup. With new items introduced almost on a monthly basis, it can be difficult to keep up with each product, let alone the prices! Because funds may be limited while in school, buying “dupes” (cheaper but similar, quality alternatives) can help you stay up to date with today’s latest products without breaking the bank. Here a few drugstore foundations (all under $20) that are just as good as some high end foundations:

1. Revlon ColorStay

This foundation gives very lightweight coverage, while also being not too cakey, doesn’t rub off or fade. It can also work for both normal and dry skin.

2. Maybelline FitMe

This awesome foundation provides a line for both dry and oily skin. If you have oily skin, they offer their “Matte + Poreless” foundations, which provides coverage while also combatting oils and huge pores. If you have dry skin, they offer their “Dewy + Smooth” foundations, which helps hydrate skin for those with dry patches/skin.

3. L’Oreal True Match

This wonderful foundation offers colors that are warm, neutral and cool. It’s also super blendable, matches skin tones, and non-cakey. Perfect “dupe” for NARS Luminous Weightless Foundation.
