3 Air Fryer recipes for a Lazy College Student

If you’re a college student, a stay at home mom, just a really lazy person then you should definitely consider purchasing an air fryer.   Air fryers are magical machines that fry food in minutes. French fries, burgers, steak, and chicken wings fried to perfection in minutes. The best part, you don’t have to worry about using fattening, messy, grease. Air fryers are said to cook food using heated air that circulating inside of a chamber; this produces a reaction known as the “mailliard reaction.”  A chemical reaction responsible for perfectly browned foods like biscuits, pan seared steaks, and cookies.

 

If that wasn’t convincing enough, here are a few beginner air fryer recipes that’ll have you heading to the Walmart today.

 

 

Honey Teriyaki Wings

1.5lbs Tyson Fresh Wingettes

Jack Daniels Marinade in a bag Honey Teriyaki flavor

2 tbs. freshly ground black pepper

1tsp. lawrys seasoning salt

1tbs. Goya Adobo all purpose seasoning with pepper

 

 

Directions

Rinse the wingettes in the sink and then season them to taste.  Place the wingettes inside of the marinade bag and place them in the refrigerator for half an hour or more. Preheat your air fryer to 360 degrees. Cook the wings for 20 mins. At the 10 min mark, flip the wings over and let them cook for ten more minutes at the same temperature.  Let the wings cool for 3-5 min and enjoy.

 

 

 

Beef and Broccoli

Ingredients,

1-1.5 lbs of boneless stew beef

1-2 bags of frozen broccoli

2 tbs. freshly ground black pepper

1tbs. Lawrys seasoning salt

2tbs. Onion powder

1 tsp. Goya Adobo all-purpose seasoning with pepper

15 oz.  Iron Chef Sesame Garlic sauce or 8.0 oz. Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Sauce for Broccoli and Beef

 

Wash beef thoroughly and season to taste on cutting board. Preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees and cook for 7-10 mins. Once the meat is cooked, rinse out the basket and begin to season the broccoli (optional). Preheat the air fryer to 300 degrees and cook broccoli for three mins. While the broccoli cooks, begin to warm up your selected sauce in a saucepan over high heat until warm.  Combine the broccoli and beef and pour sauce over the entrée. add rice to give the meal more texture. Let cool for 3-5 min and enjoy.

 

Lemon Pepper wings

Ingredients

1.5lbs Tyson Fresh Wingettes

Lawry’s 30 minute marinade lemon pepper flavor

2 tbs. freshly ground black pepper

1 tsp. salt

1 tbs. lemon pepper seasoning

 

Clean wings and season to taste. Pour wings and marinade into a plastic bag and place in the refrigerator for 30 min or more. Preheat air fryer to 360 degrees and cook for 15-20 min. Turn the wings over at the halfway mark and continue to cook for the remaining time. (Depending the brand of air fryer you’re using, you may need to cook your wings for 7-13 min.) Let cool for 3-5 min and enjoy.
