So…I have a confession to make. I’m a little awkward. Okay, I’m really awkward. When the cashier asks “Paper or plastic?” I respond with “I’m great, how are you?” But I know I’m not the only awkward person out there. Here are some situations that socially awkward people know all too well.
1. When someone compliments you, but you don’t know how to respond
2. Awkward elevator rides with strangers
3. When you’re super social in text messages, but shy and awkward in person
4. When someone calls you instead of texting
5. When you can’t tell if someone’s hitting on you, or just being nice
6. Trying (and failing) to flirt
7. But sometimes your crush is just as awkward as you are
8. First dates are even more awkward than usual (Seriously, what are you supposed to talk about??)
9. Never asking questions in class because, honestly, that sounds like a nightmare
10. When you’re ordering food from a new place, and you’re not really sure how it works
11. Walking into a party without your friends
12. When the high five wasn’t actually meant for you
13. Small talk? How do you do that?
14. Trying to make adult phone calls by yourself
15. Hugging someone you don’t know very well
