10 Useful, Easy and Fun Apps

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Valdosta chapter.

Personally, I am an iPhone user and I absolutely love my iPhone but some prefer Androids. There is a big debate about the difference in apps through the two devices but, it is all about your personal preference. Being a college student can be overwhelming but some apps can help you get through your college days. All of the apps that I am going to feature are available on both iPhones and Androids.

V-State Mobile/Blazer Nation

Both apps give you access to all the quick links to, Blazeview, Banner, VSU Email, Parking Portal, student account, news and events.

DoubleMaps

Map of different shuttles that run across campus.  • Red and black shuttle  • Specialty shuttle on Tuesdays and Thursdays to Valdosta Mall and Walmart.

LinkedIn

Networking app for students to business CEO’s to exchange information and talents.

GroupMe

An app used for several organizations, class projects, etc. An easy way to stay connected to everyone at one time.

CashApp

Send/receive money from friends instantly.

Unidays

Receive discounts from the some popular stores just for being a student!

GasBuddy

Allow this app to locate the cheapest gas in your area.

Pinterest

View and share pins that most interest you.

I keep the above 10 apps on my phone for convenience. When I am in need of figuring out new ideas on how to create a chic and simple room I know that I can head to Pinterest. Or if I am in a new area I can locate a gas station that is inexpensive nearby while my friend transfers me her half of gas money through Cash App. I love using apps and it seems that it is starting to become a big thing for businesses in their development as well . HCXO!

Deardes was a username she choose to began a story she wanted to tell through pictures on her Instagram. As she grew older and developed new motives she knew that those pictures were not the true message she was trying to send. She is now a Senior student at Valdosta State University growing with the things she has learned. Being a storyteller she knew that she needed an outlet to tell. Grab some coffee, and Enjoy!
