Friends is one of the most iconic shows from the 90’s! According the current fashion trends, the 90’s seem to be back in full swing. The 90’s had some pretty interesting style choices, but most of it can be transferred into today’s current fashion. Here are a few outfits from the show that you can translate into your spring break wardrobe! All these outfits that I have chosen can be found at Forever21.
This first outfit I chose is that of Phoebe’s character. Phoebe wears some of the most unique outfits on the show. Her style is so unique to her character and her personality. In the updated version I wanted to keep it in line with Phoebe’s character. It still has that boho chic look that is a signature characteristic of Phoebe. This dress is a great way to add a little bit of color to your wardrobe. You can use this dress as a cute sundress for the beach or dress it up a little for a fun filled day of shopping! Match it with a pair of your favorite sandals and you’re good to go!
Rachel wears some of my favorite pieces from the show. She is a certified fashionista and engulfs herself in the realm of fashion. I chose this outfit because it’s something pretty simple and pieces that most people have in their wardrobe. It’s a nice outfit for that in between weather, when Mother Nature can’t decide if she wants it to be warm or cold. I especially liked in the updated version that the model had a little bit of different texture in the shorts just to add a layer of depth to the outfit. If you want a pop of color to your outfit instead of a white shirt add a colorful top or add some colorful accessories for a standout outfit!
Monica in this particular episode is a little bit grungy and edgy. Although her usual style isn’t like this I thought this outfit would be one that is a little different from the other two that I chose. Ripped jeans have made a major comeback and can make any outfit pop. Not everyone is going away for spring break to some tropical paradise. With this outfit you can either add more layers to keep you warm or if you are in nice weather you can be comfortable as is. This look is perfect to pair with your favorite pair of converse and throw on any color flannel to add a little bit of color!
The 90’s are back, but with a modern spin. Classic 90’s shows are great ways to find inspiration for new outfits and to update your wardrobe.
