You may have or may not have gotten a chance to pick through this season’s survival kit. My personal favorite part is always the beauty products and the face masks. This season, we received three new face masks and I got the opportunity to try them all. Here is my experience with them.

The first facemask I tried was the one for oily and breakout-prone skin. It had Manuka honey and tea tree oil in it. I really liked this one mostly because of the tea tree oil in it, which is really good for acne. I also know that honey is good for getting rid of acne scars, which I have an issue with. It went on really nice and I left it on for about five minutes. Other than a little dry, my face didn’t feel any different. My verdict is that if I had a months supply of this, I would be able to see a difference, but after one time I don’t think that’s possible.

The second mask was a polishing mask with charcoal and black sugar. If you ever need a good exfoliating treatment, this is the mask for you. Arguably, it exfoliates too good. I liked it because it was just what I needed to scrub off all that built up oil and dirt. I feel like many face washes are getting too relaxed on what they consider to be exfoliating. This was the real deal, and I would definitely use this again.

The last mask that I tried was an interesting experiment. It was a cucumber and pink salt clay mask. I think they had the right idea with the mixture of soothing cucumber and exfoliating salt, but the result was a bit overwhelming. It began to burn after wearing it for about five minutes and I decided to wash it off early. I’m not sure what caused to burning, but I don’t think I would buy this one again.
