Don’t let rainy days get you down. There’s much more advantages to a rainy day than you may think. In fact, here in Wisconsin, we should at least be thankful that we get rain. Having green grass, green trees, plentiful vegetation, and no wild fires, are definitely things that make people happy up north. However, if you’re not a fan of grey skies or the smell and sound of rain, then follow this list to get your love on of these rainy days.

1. Start up a coloring book

Drawing patterns in a fill in the lines booklet can be surprisingly relaxing.

2. Have a spa day

You don’t deserve anything less than a foot scrub, fresh coat of nail polish, or a deep clean and moisturizing of the body.

3. Catch up on lecture notes

This isn’t the most exciting option, but pair that with a warm cup of joe in a spunky coffeehouse, and I’d say it has similar affects as reading a hard newspaper.

4. Go gift shopping

I’m sure there’s a birthday or holiday coming up soon, so why not spend the day out at gift stores getting ahead on what will come up real fast!

5. Write a blog or journal

Nothing is more relaxing than getting all of your thoughts, concerns, fears, hopes, dreams, and goals out into printed words.

6. Tidy up your home

I know the last time I cleaned my closet, but what about you? Crack open a window and get some scrubbing accomplished. BONUS POINTS: this can double as a workout!

Hopefully this short list has got you thinking about all the things you should or could be doing right now. More specifically, things that can calm you down and get you ahead of the game. Need more ideas? Let me know in the comments below and I would love to create a fresh list tailored to you. Keep calm and yoga on.
