College has only made my love of coffee multiply. In just the past few weeks, it got me through midterms, early morning traveling over spring break, cold weather, boring morning lectures, assignments I put off, and late nights of studying. As the semester begins to wind down, it only seems fit to thank coffee for all it does for us college students.

A love letter to coffee:

Thank you coffee,

for saving me from the hell that is Monday mornings,

for waking me up after unsatisfactory sleep,

for giving me the motivation to finish that essay I kept putting off,

for keeping me warm as I walk to class,

for romanticizing a plain old rainy day,

for smelling like heaven in the morning,

for making finals week almost bearable,

for giving me an excuse to catch up with old friends,

for making me feel a little more put together than I actually am,

for making me believe I can conquer anything.

You may not be able to buy happiness, but you can buy coffee, and what’s the difference really?
