St. Patty’s Day Outfits

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UVM chapter.

As St. Patrick’s Day approaches, many of us scramble to make last-minute plans to celebrate the holiday. Whether you hit up the local bars, go to a parade, travel to Ireland, or simply hang out and party with your friends, one thing is for sure; you need to plan the perfect outfit.

Below are some tips to help you out!

Party Attire

Even though St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Monday, that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate a little early! When going out this weekend play up the green. Try some green eye shadow, nail polish or even green lipstick!

Rock a little green in your outfit as well with a green dress or suspenders.

Classroom Attire

While you want to show off your Irish pride in class, you don’t want to go overboard. Try adding a hint of green to your outfit, such as a green bow in your hair, a green sweater with blue jeans or even some green flats to tie it all together.

Parade Attire

Unlike some other St. Patty’s Day events you may be attending, parades give you the perfect opportunity to go all out. So don’t be afraid to bring out the crazy hats, glasses, necklaces, t-shirts and tu-tus! If you don’t have the money to go out and buy these items, look through the things you have in your dorm or apartment and see if you can make some pieces of your own!

No matter what you choose to do this St. Patty’s Day, don’t forget to add a simple touch of green to show off your Irish pride! If you can’t find anything to wear at home, try going to American Apparel, Urban Outfitters, Marshalls, or even Michael’s craft store. You’re bound to find some cute pieces to help you make this St. Patty’s Day your best yet!
