Sick of wasting $5 on lip stain every time you lose your favorite shade? Instead of spending those last few dollars in your bank account, try this recipe for a homemade lip stain. All you need is a box of Jell-O!

1.     Use Strawberry or Cherry flavored Jell-O.These are the best flavors to use since they give the most natural red stain.

2.     Empty the Jell-O into a small container and decide whether you want to use your finger, a Q-Tip or a lip brush.

3.     Wet either your finger, the Q-Tip or the lip brush with water and then dip it into the Jell-O.

4.     Apply the Jell-O to your lips as if you were applying your regular lip stain. Use a clean Q-Tip to remove any excess Jell-O crystals that may be stuck to your lips.

5.     Do not put too much on at once! You want your lips to look as natural as possible. If the stain isn’t dark enough for you, you can always do a second application.

BONUS: Add lip balm to the Jell-O for a glossier lip stain!
