You and the Library

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UVA chapter.

Whether it be hunkering down before a midterm or simply procrastinating before a reading, the library is your best friend, worst enemy, and, at times, your bae. Escaping to the library means seeing some friends, cranking out that group project, and then walking home in victory (and exhaustion) after another day spent in a place filled with books, the constant sound of clicking keys, and always the energizing aroma of coffee. Here are some of the ways we all transition in our relationships with the library.

1. When you realize you have an insane amount of work and have to drag yourself all the way over to the library to actually get something done.

2. The feels on the walk over.

3. When you get to the library.

4. When someone is sitting in your favorite spot.

5. When you finally find a good study spot.

6.  When you realize how much work is ahead of you.

7. Then you click-click-read-read-learn-learn away.

8. When you realize what time it is and cannot fathom getting all of it done.

9. When you guzzle the favored energy drinks to stay awake.

10. When you finally CRUSH it, and get all your work done.

11. On the walk home…

12. And then when you are all finished, and can hit the hay…
