Most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you:
My sister and I had a major misunderstanding in the middle of a party, EVERYONE was watching, pretty sure the music stopped. It was the most awkward moment of my life
A woman who inspires you
My incredibly amazing mother. I strive to be just like her in so many areas. I’m extremely grateful to be blessed to have her!
You’re originally from London, and have Nigerian roots… So why UTSA:
I moved to Katy right before high school so I was definitely planning to stay in Texas for college. After visiting UTSA, I fell in love with the campus and I couldn’t imagine myself else where.
As a past OL, what piece of advice would you give to incoming freshman for orientation:
Get involved, try things that make you uncomfortable, and don’t waste your time doing things that don’t make you happy.
To say you’ve been “involved” during your time at UTSA is an understatement. How do you prioritize everything you do:
I struggled with doing this a lot last year since I had so many commitments. This school year I promised myself to only prioritize the activities and organizations that I genuinely enjoyed. I’ve come to realize the importance of not biting off more than I could chew. Focus on quality over quantity.
How do you think your time at UTSA has changed you:
I am so much more confident in who I am and what I am capable of
What’s your best memory at UTSA:
Sophomore year, I went camping with a huge group of friends. We went swimming in the lake, watched the sunset, and partied all day/night. It was the most perfect weekend ever.
Chloe Swirsky graduated from Brown University in 2011. She currently owns the online vintage shop, Crystal Cat Vintage (www.crystalcatvintage.com).
Chloe is currently a senior trying to figure out how she's going to be capable of functioning as a real adult in less than a year. When she's not currently dealing with this quarter life crisis you can find her at happy hour, watching movies she knows will make her cry (& forcing her fiance to watch them with her, becaue #love, obsessing over her December wedding, and just generally trying to relive freshman year with her friends because she knows the best years of her life are about to end.
