Thought From the Editor: ProcrastinationBy April 14, 2012 - 11:34pm First let me start by saying that in my last few weeks as your Campus Correspondent, I will be posting regular blogs. So welcome to the first “Thoughts From the Editor.” Now I think we can all agree that procrastination is a tired subject. Everyone knows what it is, and almost everyone (at least in college) does it. We’ve all talked about it, been guilty of it, and seen it time and time again. But bear with me. This past Monday I finished my shift at the bowling alley I work at and went into our bar to have an after-work drink and relax for a bit. I did have homework I could work on, of course, but after work you just need a little me time to relax. Plus my favorite bar tender was working, and who can pass that up? ... |

Mary-Hannah Blazing Trails in AppalachiaBy April 14, 2012 - 11:27pm Mary- Hannah Daugherty, 20, doesn’t spend her summers by the beach or lounging by a pool. Earth Fest 2012By April 9, 2012 - 12:00pm 90.3 the Rock and the Tennessee Valley Earth Partnership are gearing up for Earth Fest 2012! Earth Fest is a zero-waste event! Activities include environmental displays, Disc Golf demonstrations, a youth area, a drum/hoop/spin dance jam, and much more. Exchange programs for mercury thermometers, old light bulbs, and more. The Medic Bloodmobile will also be on site. 90.3 the Rock's booth will have registration for Bonnaroo or Bust and more. Come out for a great event for a great cause. Madelyn Jackson '12 - The newest Knoxville FellowBy April 8, 2012 - 12:30am Madelyn Jackson is preparing to graduate college with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Psychology. But unlike students who are headed into grad school or straight to the job world, Madelyn is taking a unique gap year. As one of 12 students chosen for the Knoxville Fellows Initiative Program, Madelyn will spend August through May living in Market Square, working an internship, and learning about and practicing how to develop herself as a Christian. She’s focused on setting a good example in the community while growing personally.
