Tommy Newell: Biomedical Engineering.
HCU: Where’s your favorite spot at the U?
TN: Fort Douglass Field
HCU: What’s your most interesting class?
TN: Fundamentals of Biomedical Engineering 2. We’re making a computer program to model
the cardiovascular system.
HCU: What’s your favorite hobby?
TN: Playing ultimate Frisbee! I play on the U’s team and a local club team.
HCU: Do you have any plans for after graduation?
TN: Either grad school, medical school or going into the industry. I still need to do some soul
searching.
HCU: Your feelings about the snow we just got?
TN: I love the snow we just got since I just got to go play in it. Since it’s not that cold I can at
least enjoy it for now.

TN: I was a LEAP Peer Advisor and am actively searching for a bioengineering research
position.
