5 Must-Have Fashion Trends for Spring 2015

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Utah chapter.

Yes, it may say snow’s in our forecast this weekend, but we don’t believe it! With the weather we’ve been having it is time to prepare for spring, and by that we mean your wardrobe. New York Fashion Week is currently going on and the trends for spring 2015 are on point. Here are five fashion trend must-haves for you to rock on campus!

1.   Anything in Yellow

We know what you’re thinking, that yellow just isn’t your color, but don’t know it until you try it! From sunshine yellow to pale yellow, there is a shade for everyone. Try yellow in a blazer, pants, or shoes and be ready to be the most fashionable girl on campus this spring. Yellow is in!

2.   All White Everything

A true fashionista doesn’t follow the rules! So wear white after Labor Day! Wear it whenever you want! For a perfect head-to-white ensemble, try mixing in different textures, and layering pieces. No matter what, you’re gonna look and feel like a superstar.

3.   One-Shoulder Cut

Every single girl should try the one-shoulder cut in either a dress or top. It is so simply sexy and flirty, you’d be crazy not to wear it! Wear it on date night, girls night, or at any event at all, and we promise you’ll be getting flirty glances all night from the guys around you!

4.   Black and White

We’ve seen it before. Black and white is never going out of style. It’s so professional and looks good on any girl’s body type. Pair an all black ensemble with a white blazer, or a white dress with black heels. Any type of patterns, silhouettes, and textures will look so on point.

5.   Polo Style

Ralph Lauren, J.Crew, and Tommy Hilfiger got it right! Polo style is back! Try a slouchy, button-up collared tee with your next outfit. And yes, it may have a preppy, country club like vibe, but we promise you won’t be the only girl rocking this style. Own it collegiette!
