Spraanggggg Breaaaaaaaaakkkk, Spraanggggg Breaaaaaaaaaaakkkkk. -Alien (James Franco) All around the world, fans have been waiting for Spring Breakers to come on the big screen. But, here in Saint Petersburg, where the movie was filmed, students from USFSP were dying to see if they had made it in the final cut of the film. Being filmed around the city where we go to school, students were eager to see how the movie turned out. Being an extra myself, I was curious to see what kind of movie I was thrown into. And yes, I did see the back of my head (haha) and a few of my fellow friends/classmates in the movie! I saw it the day after it came out and the theater was roaring with “oh I see you” and “look, there I am.”...

Shopping at the mall can get pretty old and tiring. The department stores all have the same generic brands, but you’re looking for something different. You can try Target or Charming Charlie, but they don’t have exactly what you’re looking for either.   Your local boutiques are some of the most unique and fun places to shop. They sell everything from clothes and accessories to gifts. They are guaranteed to have that perfect little black dress with the matching shoes and handbag. They’ll even have that cute gift to bring with you to the party. Here are a few of the best boutiques in the St. Petersburg/ Tampa Bay area.   The Shop READ MORE

Pretty Little Liars: Red CoAt ReveAl

March 21, 2013 - 10:00am

Where are all my Pretty Little Liars fans? I know you were right there with me: hand glued to the remote, sitting on the edge of the couch, urging Spencer to hurry up and find Red Coat. Not only was this one of the most thrilling episodes to date, but it also left us with so many questions.   SPOILER ALERT!! Do we really think Ali is Red Coat? Does this mean she isn’t really dead? Is Toby really on our side? What is with this triangle between Jenna, Shauna, and Melissa? So many questions, so little time…or answers! Now that we have to wait until June for new episodes to arrive, it’s time to unpack what we’ve seen and try to make sense of it all. READ MORE

March 10, 2013 - 8:23pm

Spring was in the air this week during USFSP’s Harborside Activities Board’s Spring Fling week of events. From a hypnotist to a visit to Oz, the week was full of excitement with events every day of the week. A concert with local bands and the famous Mighty Mongo started off the week on Monday night with bounce houses galore. There was an obstacle course, a Velcro wall, and a wrestling pit. Students were able to get in touch with their younger side while rocking out to some awesome music. READ MORE
