Fall Recipe: Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake

By Keeley Sheehan
October 2, 2011 - 1:18am

As a native Western New Yorker who has found myself living in Florida for the past year, I do what I can to beat to the heat and celebrate fall. Enter pumpkin pie cheesecake. It’s pumpkin pie’s slightly less conventional cousin, and the recipe I found on All Recipes is actually pretty easy to make. It should hold you over until the real thing at Thanksgiving. As I remind myself that I need to calm down and take care of body to help get rid of some stress, I think many of you are probably feeling the same way I am.
While there’s no way to avoid stress completely, here are a few ways to help you de-stress: READ MORE

Are you using Truvia yet?

By Amanda Pretulac
September 23, 2011 - 11:31pm

Looking to add a sprinkle of sugar to your tea? Try Truvia, which is a natural sweeter that contains zero-calories. It is a huge fan of the editors of Her Campus USFSP since it is not only healthy, it also tastes great! It is made with rebiana, taken from the stevia leaf. Not only is Truvia a healthy alternative in your diet, it may also may used to cook and bake recipes in the USFSP Residence Hall and your teeny tiny apartment kitchen. If cooking is not your thing, sprinkle it on your morning cereal before you start your day. You can convienently find Truvia natural sweeter at our very own Barnes & Noble Starbucks cafe! READ MORE

By Keeley Sheehan
September 20, 2011 - 10:17am

I recently went about a month without doing laundry (grad classes, work, studying, lots of work, Bravo, more work, etc.). Strawberry Chicken

By Sarah Laffin
September 20, 2011 - 10:02am

I know what you’re thinking. There is no way these two things can go together. That’s what I used to think too, the first time I had heard of it. I was 15 and working at my first job, a small town restaurant in Tomahawk, WI. I never would have imagined it would become my all-time favorite food for several years. Since then, I’ve moved 1500 miles from that restaurant and have desperately searched online for the recipe, finding nothing. Eventually I got adventurous and decided to recreate it myself from memory. Here is my version of the strawberry chicken recipe. It’s great for fall, and cheap and simple to make. If you want to try something new, try strawberry chicken! READ MORE
