Achieving Flawless Skin

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USFSP chapter.

Have you noticed some of Rihanna’s makeup-less selfies. They are Flawless. Being in college I wanted to find some cheap and simple ways to get Rihanna’s perfect clear skin. During a recent visit to the dermatologist, I got some tips and tricks for getting and keeping clear skin.

Wash Face Twice a Day. It is advised to wash your face when you first wake up and before you go to bed at night. This allows you to get rid of bacteria and germs that have accumulated on your face over the night and throughout the day.

Moisturizer. After washing your face, some cleansers can leave your skin dry. This is why it is advised to use a moisturizer following washing your face. It restores moisture and helps you create healthier skin.

Use a Facial Brush. The best time to use this brush is before bed, to help get rid of all the dirt, makeup and bacteria that has accumulated on your face over the day. Using a facial brush gives your skin a deeper clean and leaves skin soft.

Toner is a skin care must. Toner not only adds moisture back into your skin, but it also shrinks pores and adds an extra layer of protection to your skin. To get the most out of this product use it before applying moisturizer.

Exfoliate. After a long week, it is good to exfoliate your skin once a week. This helps get rid of the dead skin cells that have accumulated on your skin over the week. Leaving you with smooth babyface skin.

Water. Drinking water helps keep you body purified from nasty toxins that can cause breakouts. Enough water can bring a natural glow back to your skin and help naturally heal wrinkles and fine lines.

Eat Right. Back away from the fries. Fast food is a leading cause of breakouts for college students. Try going for something more healthy like fruits and vegetables. Clean eating will have noticeable impacts on your skin.
