Spring Fashion 101

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USF chapter.

Spring break is right around the corner and I can’t emphasize enough the importance of good style! Whether you are getting ready to hit the beach or hang out with some friends, you want to make sure you stand out from everyone else. I’m a firm believer that simplicity is beauty, so while some people think that nothing screams “SPRING BREAK” quite like bright colors, I personally think it is better to put the bold, vibrant colors aside for summertime, and to go for something simple yet chic instead. Shown below are some examples of the perfect spring outfits:

For a sunny spring morning, kick it off with a classic white t-shirt and denim shorts, along with a striped infinity scarf. You don’t want your outfit to look too plain, so put on your favorite aviators and wear a casual shoulder bag with matching colored sandals to top off your look. This is a very effortless outfit that you can easily find in your wardrobe. In addition, if you want to add a little sparkle, put some sugar on your wrist and stack up your arm candy!

For a dinner night out with your friends, break the cycle with a maxi dress instead of putting on the same pair of jeans you always wear! Match your navy blue dress with a flattering striped bag and some comfy sandals, and don’t forget to be color-coordinated. Finally, complement your look with a simple belt, and accessorize it up with some bracelets.  If the weather gets a little chilly at night, you can add an extra touch to your outfit by topping it off with a denim jacket.

Keep in mind that you can wear your hair any way you want – whether you want to put it up in a bun or let it hang loose – with the two outfits listed above.  One last thing, remember that your style alone doesn’t turn heads, your self-confidence does too!
