Fashion Friday: Rock a Bright Lip in the Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USF chapter.

Many beauty addicts face the same problem as I do at this time of year: using up the insane amount of bright lipsticks purchased in the spring and summer. While the vampy reds, berries and plums we’re seeing now are totally season-appropriate and fashion-forward, there is still a way to use up all the gorgeous summer brights in your makeup collection.

Go Matte

Get on board with fall’s favorite finish: matte. Lip colors from Limecrime, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Nars, Revlon and Rimmel may already be in your collection from seasons past. Matte finishing powder makes for a seasonally appropriate full face look.

Neutral Knits + Bright Lip

Neutral knits, leggings, boot socks and riding boots are mainstays among fall basics. They pair perfectly with a pop of color as an easy way to brighten up your fall ensembles. Rock fuschia, melon and orange lipstick shades with cool-weather basics to update your favorite summer lip colors for fall.
