Taking care of your skin is essential to looking and feeling healthy and clean. No one wants to have an oily, acne-infested face. Having clear skin makes you feel comfortable and radiates your inner-beauty, making you comfortable without wearing a full face of make up every day. I will mention some products that are essential to fully cleansing a face, as well as specific products I have used that I now can’t live without.

MAKEUP REMOVER WIPES:

There are many brands of makeup remover wipes that make taking off make up easier than regular remover liquid. Although this is perfect for removing makeup, it is important to cleanse the face properly, as it may leave makeup residue and bacteria that could clog pores overnight.

My personal absolute favorite wipes are the Neutrogena Cleansing Towelettes (blue package.) It easily removes makeup and excess dirt, and sets you up to wash your face.

EXFOLIANT:

The exfoliating process is important and helps reduce acne breakouts. It also sheds the skin of dead skin cells that tend to stick to the skin and clog pores. This step is important, but should not be overdone. Twice a week is probably enough, and will leave you feeling smooth and refreshed.

My personal favorite exfoliant is Lush’s Ocean Salt. Ocean Salt is rich in minerals. The salt particles help to dry out acne, and leave your face with a smooth finish.

FACE WASH:

Although there are a variety of face washes for different types of skin, that deep clean and unclog pores.

My personal favorite daily face wash is the BIORÉ Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser. This product contains charcoal, which absorbs and eliminates dirt and oil of the skin.  This is especially great for oily skin.

TONER:

Toner cleanses the skin and reduces pores. It also kills off any residual bacteria on the skin after using a facial wash.

My personal favorite toner is Lush’s Tea Tree Water. It keeps my face bacteria free, and ready for bed. Tea Tree is an essential oil that helps treat acne and redness of the face.

MOISTURIZER:

Moisturizer is essential to keep skin hydrated and soft. Moisturizing is usually the last step in my skin care routine. It is also the first step before applying primer and makeup.

My person favorite moisturizer is Lush’s Celestial. It keeps my skin dewy and hydrated before applying my foundation.
