15 Problems Only Girls With Curly Hair Understand

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USF chapter.

1.     Haircuts are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get.

2.     Spending so much money on hair products that work, you barely have money for any other necessity.

3.     Humidity is not your friend. One step outside, and you have suddenly have a lions mane.

4.     A pack of hair ties lasts you a good 2 weeks before they’ve all busted.

You are always buying a new pack.

5.     Going to sleep and not knowing what you’ll wake up to- it will either be a great hair day, or an awful hair day.

Praise the good hair days.

6.     Having people constantly want to touch your hair, and telling you that they wish their hair looked like yours.

Yeah, of course you want it to look like this- until you have to take care of it.

7.     Brushing your hair never seems to turn out exactly how you expected, and sometimes ends in the brush losing its battle against the mane.

Yeah, just like when Mia broke Paulo’s brush in The Princess Diaries.

8.     You are constantly asked if your hair is “naturally that curly”.

You can’t create a curl like this, honey.

9.     You get more compliments within an hour of straightening your hair than in your entire life with curly hair.

How long did it take? Two hours.

10.   Seeing girls with straight hair “curl” their hair and just laughing to yourself.

Although you admit that you wish you could curl your hair sometimes, just to have it look different.

11.   If you do decide to put your hair up, you must be prepared to stick with that decision for the rest of the day.

There is no going back now.

12.   Getting stuck in the rain is the worst.

13.   The person who came up with the idea of convertibles obviously did not have curly hair.

But they are still totally fun once in a while.

14.   Beach and pool parties are always questionable, and if you do go, you stay knee deep or lower.

You’ll just walk along the shore and stay out of the ocean, thank you very much.

15.   At the end of the day, you love your curly hair, and know that it looks fabulous.

Rock those curls girl, they look great on you.
