Shawn Mendes Videos That Literally Cured Me of The Flu

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNT chapter.

Flu season is upon us and, despite my valiant efforts to protect my coddled immune system, it has happened, my body is under siege. Through feverish nights and sweat-soaked mornings, I tried everything from DayQuils to a koala-level sleep schedule to alleviate my symptoms. However, it wasn’t until a moment of extreme desperation (boredom) that I found my cure to lie not in modern medicine at all, but in a healthy dosage of Shawn Mendes YouTube videos. I never meant to fall in love with a Canadian teenager but here we freaking go.

The eyebrow twitch at 1:25, coupled with his flowy limbs and earth-shattering smile (too dramatic?) caused my fever to naturally break for the first time in hours. I have seen heaven and it is a Shawn Mendes SNL performance.

Somebody get God on the phone, my sinuses have been cleared and my throat has healed!

Can you believe it? The only pain reliever strong enough for my aching bones is a clip of Shawn Mendes calling Jimmy Fallon old.

The smooth transition from passionate chorus to his sweet utterance of “when she looks me in the eyes” soothed my queasy stomach in a way that Tums never could.

I HAVE SEEN A SHIRTLESS AND EMOTIONALLY TROUBLED SHAWN MENDES. I AM ALIVE. I AM WELL.
