1.) Miss Mulatto – Who Is You

If you’re into hip hop, this underground hit is a motivating boaster to get you pumping and feeling yourself. It was coined by Miss Mulatto of Atlanta, GA, who was the 16-year-old winner from Season 1’s “The Rap Game” with Jermaine Dupri on Lifetime. Besides the addicting track sound, Miss Mulatto’s deep metaphorical lyrics remind you of who you are and why you always should keep your head up. Check it out below:

2.) Jada Grace ft. J Dodd – VIBE

Jada Grace is a 17 year old artist out of California whose song “VIBE” reminds you to not to let others suck away your energy. Friendships and relationships can get hectic in college. 3.) Jasmine Villegas – That’s Me Right There 

Jasmine V has been quiet lately but this 2014 single stays on this list of motivating boss lady hits. The r&b hip hop sounds are enough to make you start free styling on the ramp outside of the union near library mall. 4.) WeRCharm – The Love EP

The independent five girl duo out of Atlanta consists of Peyton, Autumn, Trinity, Shania, and Xiamara. They were nominated for this whole EP. Their EP is full of beautiful r&b vocals that keep you feeling like you’re floating across campus with songs “Love Song(Interlude),” “One Chance,” “Meant To Me,” and “Young Love.” These songs are perfect for just studying. 5.) Katy Perry – Rise 

This hidden gem, if you’re not a Perry fan, will convert you instantly with its deep melodic sounds and vibrations. It was even played as a soundtrack for an NBC Olympics video covering all of our favorite athletes. A great song to work out to, this hit will keep you from doubting yourself and will push you forward. “Victory is my veins”, as she would say. 6.) Pink ft. John Legend – Don’t Give Up

This song is more on the relaxing side if you’re studying or just trying to mellow out from a stressful class day. The piano instrument gives you an airy flair to recharge your energy. John Legend’s classic sound mixed with Pink’s emotional voice will keep you smiling yourself to sleep with lyrics such as “rest your head, you worry too much” and “It’s going to be alright, when times get rough.” Reassuring words for ANY college student.

Did you think Queen B wasn’t going to make this list? Beyonce has plenty of songs that have you feeling bossy, but “I Was Here” makes the list as a reminder that what you’re doing in college is important. We don’t stop and think about our journey’s as it’s happening. Leave your mark ladies!

Rachel Platten seemed to be working on vocals alone with this simple song with a big message. It’s enough to get you skipping through the library with your books when you’re done studying. We love her. That’s it. Turn your powers on ladies!

10.) Keke Palmer – I Don’t Belong To You

Keke Palmer is underrated. Her song lyrics obviously reminding whoever she’s “downlow” with that she doesn’t belong to them. Heart breaker!
