Spring break is quickly approaching the student of UNL, but little of us have even thought of what to do to fill that entire week break. Luckily for you, UNL offers a rewarding program for students to get involved in; ASB (Act. Serve. Become.). ASB takes place during almost every school break we encounter over the school year, including spring break.

This year, students will travel to Denver, Colorado to serve at the African Community Center, where they’ll help refugees in the resettlement process. This will provide students with the opportunity to learn of the many aspects that go into refugee settlement, but will also give them the opportunity to explore Colorado. They already have a few activities lined up for the students, like a trip to the mountains, a visit to the first Chipotle and a tour of the Denver Capitol.

The cost for the ASB spring break trip is $250; this fee includes lodging, transportation, as well as food. Students have to apply in advance to be considered for the trip and are due February sixth! They do hold informational meetings regarding the trip and what it will entail, but the last of the meetings are unfortunately over.

What better way to spend break and be apart of a rewarding experience! Applications and more information are available here
