Girls, lets face it. Today marks the inevitable end to the pumpkin-carving, costume-wearing, candy-corn-eating season we’ve all grown to love over these past couple of weeks. The trees are beginning to lose all of their leaves, the sun is beginning to go down sooner and sooner everyday, and those days we thought we were cold are looking warmer by the second. READ MORE

By Lottie Staggs

Crazy costumes, jewelry, teased hair, glitter, and overly done makeup. No, Ke$ha isn’t coming to town. It’s Halloween, my friends! It’s time to start preparing for one epic weekend of friends, fun, and freak outs. In light of the holiday season, we felt we should share with you the do’s and don’ts for a successful Halloween weekend. DO go in a group costume: This may sound lame to some of you, but if youget the right costumes andtheright people, you’ll have a blast! By Blair Anderson
October 27, 2011 - 11:37pm

Fall has finally caught up to us and as you know, with that comes colder temperatures. While colder weather brings cute boots, cuddly sweaters, and warm apple cider, it also brings chapped skin.  Chapped skin is not only embarrassing but painful. Luckily, there are many ways to avoid it. One of my favorite ways to hydrate my skin is with a homemade sugar scrub.  This homemade sugar scrub recipe is super easy and cheaper than buying similar products at Bath and Body Works or The Body Shop! It is also very convenient, as you probably have most of the ingredients in your kitchen already! READ MORE

October 26, 2011 - 2:20pm

This week has been wonderful! Iowa weather has been teasing us the past few weeks and yesterday, we were graced by one last 70 degree day of the year. Cold weather is never my favorite since we are limited by the activities we get to do outside. This leaves me plenty of time to blog and get my design projects finished before the weekend begins. I am very excited for Halloween! Here are a few of my favorite things from around the web this week :).                                                                                                                                                                                                      1.Jeffrey Campbell Elegant st. October 21, 2011 - 1:28am

It’s the new site we go to when we want to put off our homework or when we are bored and can’t fall asleep. If you haven’t already had the chance to check out this site, we recommend you put it on your “to-do” list. This site has once been described as the “Facebook with just photos” and, more accurately, “addictive”. Once you start, it’s hard to stop! So, what is Pinterest exactly and why has it become such a wide-spread phenomena on college campuses everywhere?
