World’s Cool Careers

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNH chapter.

College is hard—this, we all know this by now.  It’s been really hard for me (& many of the people that I know) to find what I want to do in life.  College is an amazing experience and you want to get the most out of it. It is just often hard to decide on a career (even without any college experience) that you want to do for the rest of your life! Scary thought!  While thinking of what you might want to do, consider these wicked cool career options that many people do not even consider.

Water/Surf Photographer

What might a day look like in the life of a surfing photographer? Spending a great part of the day in the water with surfers and a camera.  If you love the water and photography, don’t throw this option out the door.

Yoga Instructor

Yoga instructors help to guide students in yoga through a variety of postures and breathing exercises. Along with that, instructors also maintain a relaxed and calm environment for students.  They conduct classes in groups and in one-on-one sessions.  Do you have the “Zen” in you to make this your lifestyle?

Aquatic Veterinarian

Aquatic veterinarian diagnose and treat marine life.  Marine mammals, fish, sea turtles, and other wildlife of the sea are patients to an aquatic veterinarian.  If you have a love for animals and rescue with a niche for the creatures of the ocean, this may be for you.

Art Therapist

This may be your calling if you love helping people and art. Using art and visual things to help patients who have a hard time communicating or expressing their feelings, art therapists give people a medium to escape.

Ski Search & Rescue

Going to be on the slopes anyways? Know your way around and find yourself helping people out when they need it on the mountain?  Look into being a part of the Search and Rescue team.

Just remember… you can do ANYTHING and be ANYTHING.
