But everyone has to watch some scary movies just because it’s almost Halloween and it’s basically a requirement. Plus, watching a scary movie is always a good excuse to cuddle up with your boyfriend or have a slumber party with your girls! Here’s some scary movies that I think are good for everyone (even a scaredy cat like me)! READ MORE |

10 Ways to Stay Awake In ClassBy October 22, 2012 - 12:00am We all have those mornings (or for some afternoons) that we just can’t seem to focus on what our teacher is lecturing to us. Soon our eyelids grow heavy and our heads bow down and we dose off for what seems like most of class. When you are abruptly woken up, you are unsure of what you missed and try to play catch up with your notes while keeping up with the teacher’s talking. Soon it becomes a mess and the professor starts to notice your sleeping habits and will call you out in front of the class (it has happened to my friends before!) Especially after homecoming weekend filled with parties, tailgating, and little to no sleep, you will need these tips on how to stay awake in class! READ MORE |

But, also a time when we develop a separate set of ‘skills’ that most likely won’t benefit us once we’re forced out of this college bubble and into the real world. Sure, we’d all love to stay here forever, but the reality is, we can’t. I have put together this list of just 25 of the many things that us college kids do best (besides being absolutely friggin’ awesome, of course). If you find yourselves becoming completely absorbed in one or all of these habits, just know that you’re absolutely not doing college wrong, but you (unfortunately) can’t do these things forever.... |

5 Creepy Cocktails & Magic MixesBy October 15, 2012 - 12:00am Remember how exciting Halloween was as a kid? It was this crazy night where you dressed up as your favorite animal or Disney princess, then went out with friends when it got dark and collected as much candy as possible from as many housed as possible, until your parents yelled at you to come in because it was getting too late. Well, I guess you could say not much has changed since then. We still go out with friends at night and dress up as animals, just this time with a lot less clothing and much cuter shoes. The only thing we don’t get to do anymore is trick-or-treat, which kind of sucks…I mean who doesn’t want free candy?! But we’re now in college, and everyone still gets just as into the Halloween spirit (if not more) then back in middle school.... |

5 Tailgating Must-DosBy October 8, 2012 - 12:00am Fall at UNH is my favorite time of the year. Besides the fact that it marks the beginning of another crazy year, there is nothing better than the fall foliage around campus, the cool night breeze after a dance party in Scorps basement, and most importantly, tailgating all day for a Wildcats football game. What’s the harm in having a little twisted fun before rooting for our favorite Wildcats? After college is over, the excuse to darty (day party) won’t be as easy as it is now. With that being said, if you haven’t already had a UNH tailgating experience, it is now time to take advantage of it. There are only five more home games for the Wildcats, so let’s party responsibly and support the UNH football team this Fall season!... |
